Sketch Jam TIME!!!
This weekend was a BLAST! Two of my best friends from High School got together and just hung out... and we did a little drawing. The first if Edgar Allan Poo by Avery Butterworth. Avery recently completed the 90+ page sequel to the Surreal Adventures of Edgar Allan Poo from Image comics, due out on 8/20/08. Check it out very soon. The second was a new addition to my daughter's Tinkerbell collection by my New York brother... Todd Wahnish. It will be a the pride of her collection, once she gets back from Daytona. Todd is currently working on new submissions for Marvel and we should see work from him there soon. Also, he has a "special" secret project that will be revealed right here.
And then, my sketch. I was doing my own version of a "Fairy". I spent a little more time on mine since I finished it up well after everyone else went home. Kind of... "inpiring".

a little disturbing... Husk
Husk is an X-Men character from the series Generation X. She's Paige Guthrie and sister to Sam Guthrie aka. Cannonball of the New Mutants. This sketch is kind of disturbing but her power is just that... disturbing. She "husks" her skin like an ear of corn to reveal a different power underneath. This one is also for Brandnewfan on the Sketch Gallery.

Lucy in the Sky
The doctor is in... Dr. Strange
Elektra and DareDevil
Tried something new and different with this one. I turned Elektra's red costume into negative space then used a silhouette of DD in the background to fill the negative space. I'm using some of the commissions to try different things. So far so good.

Bushi Tales
Last year, at the Comic Geek speak Episode 300 event in Reading, Pa, I had the pleasure to meet Lin Workman of Bushi Tales. I did a sketch for him for the show and had planned to do another full page drawing when I got back to Jacksonville. One thing lead to another and I never finished the page. Lin recently made a request for one of their characters for the Super Show and it got me to pull out the old drawings and finish the piece. Here it is...
