March 25, 2012... Week 17 - Queen Amidala by Andrew Charipar

This is my addition to this weeks subject over at Illustrious Bits Sketch Blog... Queen Amidala from Star Wars.

This turned into one of those "simple" sketches that took four days to finish.  The initial sketch was perfect and it sat on my drawing table for three additional days... just waiting for me to finish it.  Ughhhh.

Sometimes that happens.

This is the second of at least three Simpsons/DC Comics characters for the Super Wild Pig Show in May.

Originally, Monty was NOT my first pick for the Joker but I liked how it came out.  Monty was originally going to be the Scarecrow but the Joker worked out well... now who should be the Scarecrow?

My second request for the new Super Wild Pig Show... any characters from the Simpsons as a DC Character.

I chose Ned Flanders as Two-Face.  I have an idea for the whole Bat-Family as Simpsons characters... and maybe one day, it will get done.

This was my submission to Nightcrawler week over at Illustrious Bits.  I missed last week (Harley Quinn week) and really wanted to make sure I got this one done.

I loooove the rain/lightning (white out pen) effect.  I also did something else different with this one... its on 9x6 in stead of my standard 9x12.

March 4, 2012... My First Commission...

My first request for the New Super Wild Pig Show... World War II Captain America!

This one started out pretty good and ended even better.

The guy who made the first request was also the first guy to make a request for the New York show so I did something a little special for him.  Instead of the standard 9x12 I did this on the larger 11x14.  Hope he likes it.

March 3, 2012... Where the @^#% did my talent go?

I know I'm posting this the next day but I am having a time... I did three drawings last night and they SUCK.  I have no idea where my talent, my ability to draw... whatever,,, where the heck did it go???

Anyway, this morning, things are looking a little better.  Getting back on the horse... draw, draw, draw...
